What advice do you have for future students?

Spend the least amount of time in your dorm as you can! Go out and explore campus, study in the library, or eat outside at a picnic table; you'll get to meet new people and experience new places. I had a blast walking around campus with my friends just exploring all there is to offer.

Why did you choose to become an admissions counselor?

I chose to come to TXST instantly after my Campus Tour. I felt at home the second I stepped on campus. I quickly became a Tour Guide so that I could help give other people that feeling that I had when I came to campus. One of the best feelings I get is when someone comes up to me and tells me I was their tour guide and they chose TXST. Now that I've graduated, it feels like a perfect job for me to continue helping students get to college.

What do you like best about San Marcos?

San Marcos is great because there's always something to do, everyday, all the time. It could be floating the San Marcos River, walking through the market days on the Square, or hiking the numerous trails. Not only are there plenty of opportunities in San Marcos, there's community that comes with them.
