Core Curriculum for Transfer Students
The General Education Core Curriculum serves as the common foundation for all majors (42 semester credit hours required). Provided as a reference for students planning to transfer to Texas State University, below is a list of courses and course choices that fulfill the General Education Core Curriculum. The equivalent Texas Common Course Number (TCCN) is provided for each course, where available. Keep in mind that direct junior college and university equivalencies may differ from Texas Common Course Numbers (TCCN) and additional courses not listed may fulfill core curriculum requirements. Individual degree programs may also have additional specific course requirements, as outlined on their Transfer Planning Guides.
