    • Students can earn a bachelor’s degree from Texas State University without leaving their community college. Students will also save thousands in overall tuition while still benefitting from all the perks of being a TXST student and receiving full support from both schools to keep them on the right track.

    • Yes, students will be awarded a bachelor’s degree from Texas State University and students will earn an associate degree at the same time from Dallas College.

    • Yes, students can meet with a TXST Regional Coordinator online or at the community college—whichever works best for them.

    • The concurrent enrollment program begins Fall 2025.

    • At this time, the appropriate approvals are not in place to allow international students needing F1 visas to participate in the co-enrollment model. Texas State University is currently seeking the approval for international students needing an F1 visa to be able to enroll in these programs, and once it is granted by the Department of Homeland Security, the restriction will be lifted. There is no timeline at this moment on when approval will be granted.

    • Yes. Co-enrollment pathways are set up so you can earn both your associate degree at the community college and your bachelor’s degree at Texas State at the same time, and they are designed to help you save money on your classes.

If you register for a Texas State (TXST) course that is supposed to be taken through a community college partner, you will be required to drop that TXST course and re-enroll in the same course through the community college.

Any changes to your approved co-enrollment plan must be approved by the Senior Regional Site Coordinator. If you have questions, please email txstlocal_dallas@txstate.edu.

  • Financial aid and scholarships

    • When you apply for financial aid on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), please include both schools on your application. Texas State's school code is 003615.
